Distribution
Northern and Western coast of Alaska. Found throughout the Arctic Basin with some ranging near the North pole, they also range into adjacent seas.
Notes
Not to be confused with ribbon seals, ringed seals are marked with irregular rings on their dark fur. Diet changes seasonally from fish in the fall, winter, and early spring to crustaceans during the summer.
