Boreal habitats from southern Maine to southern New York, mostly east of the Hudson River.
Notes
Becomes active at dusk but seldom ventures far from cover. Males compete for females with chases, vertical jumps and face-offs. Prefers scrub or shrub habitat. Live in Northern forests and brushy habitat.
