Suggestions for Symposia and Workshops

The annual meetings are enhanced by symposia and workshops contributed by the membership. Proposals for symposia and workshops should be submitted to the Program Committee 14 months prior to the meeting at which the symposium/workshop will be held. Forms for the submission of a proposal and suggestions for the organization of symposia can be (viewed/downloaded?) here. Please, feel free to make suggestions for symposia and workshop topics, potential conveners, and potential participants, even if you do not wish to organize a symposium or workshop yourself.

How are we doing?

The purpose of the annual meeting is to serve the membership. While we cannot please everyone all of the time, we want to please as many people as possible. There have been several changes in the structure of the meetings in the last few years (e.g., providing financial support to bring in symposium speakers, the addition of the capstone session). Let us know whether these changes have made the meetings more attractive to you. What more, or less, should be done to make the meetings attractive?
