WHEREAS, the 50th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Mammalogists, convened June 14 to June 18, 1970 at the Ramada Inn, College Station, Texas has been marked by pleasant association, heart-warming hospitality, and informative sessions, and
WHEREAS, the success of this meeting has been insured by the diligent and dedicated efforts of the local committee, supported by wholehearted cooperation of the Texas A&M University, both on this occasion and over many years past, and
WHEREAS, the management of the Ramada Inn has graciously and efficiently provided for our needs and comfort,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the American Society of Mammalogists acknowledges its sincere appreciation and extends its heartfelt thanks for President Alvin Leudecke and the Texas A&M University, especially to Dr. Dilford C. Carter, Chairman, and to all members of the local Committee, particularly Curtis Spenrath, Richard LaVal, Raul Valdez, Robert Fleet, Sidney Forsythe, James Teer, and our venerable patriarch William B. Davis, as well as to other unnamed individuals, whose contributions have made this meeting a truly outstanding occasion that can be described only in "Texas" Proportions..
